The sweetest stop in Buda

Tim and his family have been part of the Buda community since COVID, watching it grow from a couple of restaurants into a vibrant Main Street with an amazing food and bar scene. Every time he and Alex walked their kids down Main Street, they had the same thought: “This place deserves a proper ice cream shop.” After one too-many jokes about opening one themselves, the right opportunity appeared—and the idea turned into Buda Ice Cream Shoppe.

Tim’s “why” is simple: bring great ice cream to a great community, and create a true community hub where everyone enjoys hanging out—and where local youth can develop work ethic. He’s involved locally (including serving on boards in town), and this shop is just one more way he and Alex are investing in the place they call home.

Alex is a big part of the heart behind Buda Ice Cream Shoppe! Many families in town already know her as Buda’s favorite pediatric dentist at Kids Tooth Team. After years of helping kids take care of their smiles, she figured there is room in life for both good brushing habits and a well-earned scoop of ice cream.

For Alex and Tim, this shop is not about chasing trends or trying to be flashy. It is about creating a place that feels like it has always belonged on Main Street, something warm, sincere, and a little nostalgic. As they raise their family here, Alex is proud to build a place where locals can gather after dinner, visitors can stop in for something sweet, and one day, their own kids can work behind the counter. It is just one more way their family is investing in the community they love.
